About This Exhibit
"OFF THE PLATE" is an annual RRPNE exhibition highlights traditional printmaking methods of monotype and monoprint including: woodblock, linocut, etching, screen print, drypoint, mezzotint, lithography and more.
With an open theme concept, OFF THE PLATE allows the printmaker to put their carving and inking skills to the test with traditional and contemporary composition to push the boundaries of printmaking excellence. Printmakers are asked to refrain from embellishing prints with hand color or post production to showcase developed skillsets in unadulterated technique.
It's printmaking in its most impressive and authentic state. With over 100 submissions this year, the task to narrow it down to a cohesive installation to fit the walls was a task and the online preview does not do its justice.
